Located at 25 N Grove St., Merrit Island, Ohana Pet Resort has emerged as Merritt Island's premiere pet care facility. Ohana Pet Resort has a sensitive, even "picky" clientele well-served by an experienced and enthusiastic staff.
Located with easy access to the Port Canaveral Cruise Ships, Orlando, NASA Space Center, Disney and Beaches. Ohana Pet Resort is a full time Resort and Spa for your special family pets.
On any given day, we host as many as 40-80+ dogs! To maintain a healthy energy among the packs, we cannot allow customers to wander through the yards and kennels. Also, our insurance prohibits customer access to some areas of the facility. We know it's hard to leave your dog behind, so you are always welcome to email or call to check up on your pups.
Our dogs interact and play in natural packs all day long--they go home tired! Since dogs play using their mouths and teeth, your dog might go home smelly, dirty, or even with a few minor scratches. We offer full grooming service, so let us know if you want your dog bathed before he goes home.
Reservations are required for boarding.
New pets will be individually evaluated and introduced slowly into the community. Please complete the customer form and drop it by the office or scan and fax it.To make onboarding faster, please email vaccine records to ohanapetresort@yahoo.com or ask your veterinarian to send them. Note: Dogs MUST be spayed or neutered by 12 months of age for daycare or boarding.
All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordatella). No dogs are permitted without up-to-date vaccinations! If you dog has recently visited the vet, we recommend no boarding or daycare for 5-7 days after the visit (dogs can easily pick up airborne diseases at the vet). Remember that just like flu vaccines in humans, kennel cough or flu vaccines in dogs are never 100% effective. Although rare, dogs can catch airborne diseases at any facility, including ours!
